چکیده

Materials and Methods Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded lung SqCC (n=137) and LADC (n=60) tissue microarrays were acquired. DSG3/p40 + Napsin A double stain cocktail (Biocare Medical, Concord, CA), TTF-1 [SPT24] and TTF-1 [8G7G3/1] antibody titers were optimized for IHC. SPT24 was optimally titered at 1:1200. The double stain antibody cocktail was detected by using a polymer double stain detection kit and visualization was achieved with DAB and Fast Red chromogens.

بررسی بروز فاکتور ترانس کریپشن تیروییدی-1 در آدنوکارسینوم‌های اندومتر و اندوسرویکس به روش ایمونوهیستوشیمی

Background: Thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF-1) is widely used in the diagnosis of lung and thyroid carcinomas. Although there have been reports of TTF-1 immunoreactivity in tumors other than those originating from the lung or thyroid, endocervical and endometrial adenocarcinomas have not been studied in large numbers in this regard. Methods: Thirteen endocervical adenocarcinomas, 39 endome...

Thyroid Transcription Factor-1 (TTF-1): protein expression is not exclusive to lung and thyroid tissue

Thyroid Transcription Factor-1 (TTF-1) is a member of the homeodomain transcription factor family, is a tissue specific transcription factor, and plays a role in regulating proteins expressed within the thyroid, lung and brain. These include thyroglobulin, thyroid peroxidase, Clara cell secretory protein and surfactant proteins. Human TTF-1 (38 kD) is a single polypeptide of 371 amino acids sha...

The High Diagnostic Accuracy of Combined Test of Thyroid Transcription Factor 1 and Napsin A to Distinguish between Lung Adenocarcinoma and Squamous Cell Carcinoma: A Meta-Analysis

BACKGROUND Accurate classification of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) using morphological features has several limitations. However, the use of thyroid transcription factor 1 (TTF-1) and Napsin A as markers for the identification of various subtypes of NSCLC has shown promise. This meta-analysis was designed to evaluate the diagnostic value of combined TTF-1 and Napsin A test to distinguish ...

The diagnostic value of TTF1, P63, HMWK [34βE12], CK7, and CD56 immunostaining in classification of lung carcinoma

Background & objective: The histologic distinction of small cell from non-small cell lung carcinoma and correct identification of all subtypes of lung carcinoma are very important in treatment management. The main method for histologic classification of lung tumors is based on morphology. However, in small bronchoscopic biopsies in par...

Utility of five commonly used immunohistochemical markers TTF-1, Napsin A, CK7, CK5/6 and P63 in primary and metastatic adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma of the lung: a retrospective study of 246 fine needle aspiration cases

BACKGROUND Fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy plays a critical role in the diagnosis and staging of lung primary and metastatic lung carcinoma. Accurate subclassification of adenocarcinoma (ADC) and/or squamous cell carcinoma (SqCC) is crucial for the targeted therapy. However, the distinction between ADC and SqCC may be difficult in small FNA specimens. Here, we have retrospectively evaluated...
